  1. 7. I'll say 92, as an all-time record is set.
    8. Eight cautions and one red flag. (There will be a Big One with 14 cars involved. Harvick will escape it, but JJ won't. As a side note--Harvick escaped a big crash last year by simply stopping, as he was trailing the field.)
    9. Yes. Paul Menard will win for the first time in Cup.
    10. Yes, there will be at least one green flag pit stop.
    11. It's actually going to be Menard/Harvick. Harvick will push Menard to the lead on the final lap when the final caution comes out for a wreck.
    12. See #9.

Thanks for the read Dwindy! I enjoyed it!

  2. Man you make some tough tests. How can you have a quiz on Talladega without mentioning Dale Jr? LOL

    7) 58
    8) 9... more cautions = less lead changes.
    9) It's anybody's race, but I'll say Ford. Perhaps Trevor Bayne will put the lightning back in the bottle.
    10) Maybe one at the most.
    11) No
    12) Could be, but I doubt it.

    I like Jon's scenarios, though.

  5. Sorry. I don't remember that far back.AS far the next race, only one of the 43 drivers will win the race. Lets hope Gordon and Johnson don't team up in the draft. That could be bad news for the other drivers.

  7. Okay... Here we go for the answers.

    1. In 1973 60 cars started the race and 19 were parked after that 11th lap wreck or C. 32%

    2. At the end of the day there were only 17 cars still running or D. 28%

    3. Here's the correct matchup: Buick - 6, Chevrolet - 36, Dodge - 3, Ford - 18, Mercury - 7, Oldsmobile - 6, Plymouth - 3, Pontiac - 2, and Toyota - 2. So the correct matchups shown were Mercury, Oldsmobile and Toyota.

    4. Considering Chevrolet has been to victory lane 36 times in 83 races at Talladega its surprising that it wasn't until the 16th race that the manufacturer found victory. The answer is D. 15

    5. None other than fan favorite Darrell Waltrip was the first Chevy driver in Talladega's Victory Lane. The answer is A

    6. "Talladega" is Choctaw Indian for pulverised rock! Kind of appropriate don't you think?

The balance of the questions will be answered over the next few hours!

Thanks to all you brave souls for taking a shot at this...
